Papers of lawyer Asa F. Lawrence of Pepperell, Mass. contain legal papers related to estate, bankruptcy, and other cases; deeds (in particular to lands in Pepperell), writs, and other legal documents; and correspondence. His personal papers are made up primarily of bills, receipts, and other financial records of household and other expenses. Also included are a few papers of Francis Lawrence, a Charlestown, Mass. merchant; of John G. Lawrence, including Civil War papers kept while he was a surgeon on the U.S.S. Potomac and a list of medicines on hand on the U.S.S. Potomac from Jan.-Feb. 1864; a few papers of Lawrence Park; and other misc. receipts and bills, possibly of other clients of Asa F. Lawrence.

Lawrence Park attended Harvard University from 1892 to 1896 and was a practicing architect, beginning his career in Boston in 1901. As an author he wrote about colonial art.
